Screen information stays on the phone. Mama Kids Control processes screen information and blocking settings on the device. It has no accounts, ads, analytics or connection to BillionTech servers. Google Play handles subscription purchases and checks.

What Mama Kids Control does

Mama Kids Control is a parental control app for Android. A parent installs it on their child's phone. The child can watch any video in the official YouTube app, except: Shorts (if the parent blocks them), channels the parent has blocked, and videos whose title or channel name contains a word on the parent's blocked-words list. Mama Kids Control can also block searching for those words, downloads and app-install buttons, ads and links that leave YouTube, and video-downloader apps on the parent's blocked list.

How Mama Kids Control uses the Accessibility service

To work, Mama Kids Control uses Android's Accessibility service. It is set up to observe only the YouTube app, common web browsers and app stores (only to notice that they opened right after a tap in YouTube), and, if the parent turns this on, the specific apps on the parent's blocked list. It does not observe any other app.

While YouTube is open, Mama Kids Control reads what is shown on screen, such as video titles, channel names, whether the Shorts player is open, the label of a button that was tapped (for example "Download", "Install" or "Search"), and words typed in YouTube's search box. For browsers, app stores and apps on the blocked list, it only uses the fact that the app has opened; it does not read what is shown in them.

It uses this only to decide, on the phone, whether to allow or block what is happening. If something is not allowed, Mama Kids Control pauses playback, leaves the screen or app and shows a friendly "not this one" message. After a video is blocked, it also checks whether YouTube is showing a small picture-in-picture window and keeps that video paused.

This information is processed in the phone's memory and is not sent to BillionTech. If a parent enables optional diagnostics, the last checked screen is temporarily held in memory for inspection, as described below. The parent is shown an explanation and must agree before the Accessibility service can be turned on.

Parental supervision, app visibility and Android permissions

Mama Kids Control is intended for transparent, parent-authorized supervision of a child's Android device, not secret surveillance. Parents or guardians should explain the protection to the child in an age-appropriate way. The app's monitoring and blocking functions depend on Android permissions and services that a parent enables during setup. The parent can review these permissions in Android Settings.

The app may appear in the Android launcher, installed-app list, permission settings and other system interfaces. A parent PIN protects controls within Mama Kids Control; it does not lock Android system settings, guarantee uninterrupted monitoring, or prevent the operating system or device user from disabling permissions or uninstalling the app. If the Accessibility service is turned off, the app is force-stopped, or the app is removed, its YouTube blocking functions may stop working. No feature should be understood as making the app undetectable or impossible to remove.

Any future feature affecting launcher visibility, device management or uninstall protection will require separate assessment, clear parent-facing disclosure and compliance with Google Play policies before release. This policy does not claim that such a feature is currently available.

Information stored on the phone

Mama Kids Control saves only the settings the parent chooses, in the app's private storage on the device:

These settings are excluded from phone backups and are never uploaded.

Subscriptions and payments

Mama Kids Control offers a 7-day free trial, then a subscription (monthly or yearly) sold through Google Play. Payments are processed by Google under the Google Payments Privacy Notice. Mama Kids Control never sees your card or payment details.

To know whether protection should be on, Mama Kids Control asks Google Play whether a subscription is active, then stores the result and the last check time on the phone. It also stores the trial start date. Google retains subscription and transaction records under its own policies. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.

Diagnostics

A parent can turn on an optional diagnostics feature for testing. It keeps a copy of the last YouTube screen that Mama Kids Control checked, so the parent can see what the app is able to read. This copy is held only in memory, is replaced with each new check and is erased when the app closes. It is only shared if the parent chooses to copy it themselves.

Children's privacy

Mama Kids Control is meant to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. It does not create child accounts or profiles or send children's screen information to BillionTech.

Deleting your data

The app's settings, PIN recovery information, trial date and cached subscription status are kept on the phone. Clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove them. This does not cancel your Google Play subscription or delete Google's transaction records; manage your subscription in Google Play.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds online features, such as a parent dashboard or syncing between devices, this policy will be updated first to explain exactly what is collected and why. The effective date above will change whenever the policy is updated.
